breaking the taboo on camera.

A bold, personal brand film for Roisín at Thrive Physiotherapy, made for the About Me section of her site. It says the uncomfortable things out loud and positions her as a disruptor in pelvic health.

The challenge

In 2025 we partnered with Roisín at Thrive Physiotherapy to create a bold, personal brand film for the About Me section of her website. Most clinical video is stock footage and a polite voiceover. Roisín had a clearer vision: a piece that breaks taboos, challenges stale messaging, and positions her as a disruptor in pelvic health.

The task was a film that felt authentic, punchy and cinematic - no staged clinic re-enactments - with enough visual energy and editorial flexibility to keep people watching.

/03

the plan

We mixed direct storytelling, documentary energy and cultural satire.

Direct to camera. Roisín anchors the film speaking straight down the lens, telling the raw, personal story of the moment everything changed for her - vivid, relatable, and an immediate connection with the audience.

Pastiche and parody. We designed original, stylised parodies of outdated media - fake daytime chat-show snippets, tongue-in-cheek infomercials - showing how society normalises leaks and bad pelvic health advice.

Expert validation. Natural, informal conversation with trusted peers, woven through to back up Roisín's evidence-based approach and take on the misinformation.

A layered, fast-cut edit. The structure follows the rhythm of a modern documentary trailer - personal story, satirical clips and cultural references cut against each other to keep the energy high and the message clear.

the result

A punchy, cinematic About Me film that does exactly what Roisín wanted - breaks the taboo, calls out the stale messaging, and puts her front and centre as a disruptor in pelvic health. Around ninety seconds, built to hold attention from the first line.
